Work of architect Emilio Jecquier, built in 1912 as a train terminal for Valparaiso and the city of Mendoza, Argentina. Its facade stands out with three baroque arches and the metal structure of the vault that served to cover the platform space. In 1987, it no longer fulfilled its role as a railway terminal and became the center of exhibitions and artistic events. Mapocho Station Cultural Center

Its history and privileged location in the heart of Santiago make the old train station a cultural reference for Chilean and foreign visitors.
Today, a century after its construction, this old station retains the prominence it had in its early days, with its monumental location in the city, still a meeting point for its visitors.
Declared a National Monument in 1976.
