This beach is located west of Cobquecura just 1 km. And in it there are four large rocks that emerge from the sea just over 50 meters from the beach shore and that serve as a habitat for more than 3,000 sea lions. This area was declared a Nature Sanctuary by Decree No. 544 of the Ministry of Education on September 1, 1992, having an extension of 5 kms. north coast line and 500 mts. wide in the E.O. direction, with a total area of ​​250 hectares.





From Santiago, take Route 5 South to the south of San Javier, then turn west along the Conquistador route to Concepcion, passing through Cauquenes and Quirihue, to deviate in the latter city towards the coast to Cobquecura.



From Santiago, you can also continue along Route 5 South to the town of Cocharcas, passing San Carlos, turning west on Route N-50, passing through the towns of San Nicolas, Ninhue and Quirihue and then to the coast of Cobquecura.





With more than 50 kilometers of coastline of fine gray sands, and an unpolluted sea, Cobquecura is excellent for practicing water sports such as sport fishing, obtaining good specimens of Corvinas, Snook and Lenguados, as well as surfing and bodyboarding. Spectacular rock formations located a few meters from the field can be seen throughout the coast, which allows us to observe green landscapes and rivers suitable for swimming and fishing. This makes Cobquecura a true sanctuary of nature.
