And in the winter. the large fireplace provides extra warmth and a charming atmosphere. The cave house is located in rural surroundings. If you re lucky. you ll see a bat or an owl in the evening. The famous castles of Montrichard. Amboise and Chenonceaux are within 20 km. The Chateau of Chenonceau is located in the Loire valley and dates from 1432. What makes the castle so unique is that it is built over the water of the river de Cher and has wonderful well maintained gardens. The castle is a private property and is open year round.
