The Cathedral of Luanda, also known as the Church of Our Lady of Remedies, is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Luanda, Angola.

The construction of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Church, located in the old low city of Luanda, was an initiative of merchants and local residents to compete with the religious buildings of the upper city. The works were begun in 1651 or 1655 and ended in 1679, the year in which it was solemnly inaugurated by Bishop Manuel da Natividade. The church was built to replace two small chapels previously on site, the Espirito Santo chapel and the Corpo Santo chapel.

The church was of rectangular plan with a nave; in the entrance there were three doors with small pediments and, at the top of the facade, there was a great triangular pediment with volutes in the vertices and an elaborate oculus. On either side of the facade were two bell towers with pyramidal skirmishes.

In 1716 the headquarters of the Diocese of Angola and Congo was transferred from San Salvador de Congo to Luanda, which eventually led the Remédios Church to become a cathedral. In 1877 it was in ruins, being restored between 1880 and 1900. At that time it acquired the present appearance, like three doors and curved pediment in the facade.

In 1949 it was declared Property of Public Interest, while it was still part of the Portuguese Colonial Empire.
