On January 15, 1631, Don Francisco Mantilla de los Ríos gathered the people to demarcate the lot and nail the first pillar of the hut that would serve as Government House. Under these conditions and with periodic repairs, he provided his services until 1740.
First reconstruction May 27, 1740.
Second reconstruction February 28, 1791. New improvement 1864.
Destruction of the old town hall and construction of the new one in 1929. There was a fire on August 31, 1977.
After the fire, the civic entities of Girón began a strong campaign to get the construction of the colonial-style town hall of 1864, since the town never agreed with the Republican palace style within a totally colonial square framework.
