The Monastery of Flor da Rosa is one of the most original and intriguing buildings of Portuguese Gothic. Its monumentality still holds a fascination today, which, as far as is known, results from the history of its own construction. On the façade of the building the construction links are immediately perceptible: to the right, the volume of the church, cruciform, crowned by canals; to the center, more discreet, the galilee of the entrance and the two windows of the Sacristy; to the left, the three towers of the Manor; behind this façade is the monastic zone, more collected, with the Cloister and other dependencies around it.
