Hatzenport is romantically imbedded in the Lower Moselle Valley and is a recognized spa town with about 700 residents. There is the option to go on a wine tasting or tour one of the castles in the region, Burg Bischofstein is 3km away. There are walking paths in the region, the WeinWetterWeg, the Schoppenstecher weg path, the Moselhöhenweg path, and the Moselcamino path. Sights in the region are Mayen, Koblenz, Cochem and Boppard, all within a 20 to 30 km radius.
